Prices of Electron Tubes hiked by 33 %
E2V, UK the global leading manufacturer of Electron Tubes (Triode Valves) has announced a price hike of 33 %. All other international manufacturers in the field have followed suit by announcing hikes to the tune of 10 %.
The justification of this price rise is attributed to the increasing cost of production in Europe and the severe market conditions.
An immediate effect of this price rise can be seen on the Tube and Pipe manufacturing industry in India and around the world, compelling Tube and Pipe manufacturers to switchover to Solid State Welding technology, which is more energy efficient and does not require Electron Tubes, an expensive spare part.
With profit margins in steel tubes shrinking day by day, it is no longer feasible to use Electron Tube Welders.
This replacement market of Electron Tubes is drying out across the world, making way for Solid State High Frequency Welding.
